Taurine is a small aminosulfonic acid found primarily in seafood
and meat. It plays a key role in the regulation of the flow of ions
across cellular membranes, the biosynthesis of water-soluble bile
salts, and as a conjugation factor for phase II drug metabolism.
Evidence shows that taurine supports cardiac function and healthy
regulation of the force that circulating blood exerts on the artery
wall.
